    Definitely agree with you that media consumption will become increasingly varied and scattered, both online and off. As a semantic search-and-discovery service for movies and television, our perspective at Jinni is that viewers will increasingly use destinations that gather many consumption options in one place.

    I signed up for the Jinni beta, the 'movie genome project' makes it sound like Pandora for video.

    Maybe the movie genome project could be a better approach to the NetFlix recommendation algorithm problem

    Cool! And you're exactly right about Netflix. Well, we couldn't enter the competition because we're "cheating" by adding extra information (about the movies) but we do believe this is a better approach to recommendations. Happy New Year!
