GlucoMON is a self-contained GSM/GPRS commercial grade appliance used for managing and collecting data from any number of patient-specific blood glucose meters. The monthly fee includes a comprehensive patient management program. Simply issuing devices to patients has proven to be one of many weak links in the system. Integrating them as part of comprehensive outcomes focused programs has proven to deliver improved outcomes and efficiencies in randomized controlled clinical trials. THere is quite a difference between a device and a program that happens to include a device that assists the patient and simplifies participation.
