Broader Perspective: Can social capital markets move from niche to core?

    going mainstream as a niche would be ideal. then we could reflect our results back to the traditional capital markets where social and environmental factors are still externalities. that differential should be a value that tracks to the time value of money, i think.

    Thanks for the comment and outstanding job on the conference. Really a key step for SCM. Being a sustainable niche in the traditional markets would be a great accomplishment.

    One example of niche to core movement is the Green for All initiative. There is a group on WiserEarth (created by Paul Hawken) that is organizing around creating green-collar jobs. It was a hot topic at Bioneers. Anyone can join the group and participate in getting the market more in line with the environment:
